Have you ever been to the real WONDERLAND?
There’s still a beautiful place that you can call WONDERLAND in the north central Thailand called Sukhothai city, the meaning of Sukhothai is The Dawn of Happiness!
Sukhothai is a small city in the north part of Thailand but not far from the central. There’s many beautiful ancient architecture places especially in the old town.
I’m going to show you WONDERFUL places to see in this WONDERLAND!
Wat Si Chum âĒ āļ§āļąāļāļĻāļĢāļĩāļāļļāļĄ
There’s the Big Buddha called Phra Achana Buddha. The meaning of Phra Achana is ‘He who is not frightened’. Wat Si Chum is the ancient temple that gives information about the founding of the Sukhothai Kingdom (The ancient kingdom in the 13th and 14th centuries in the north central Thailand before Ayutthaya Kingdom).
Wat Maha That âĒ āļ§āļąāļāļĄāļŦāļēāļāļēāļāļļ
Wat Maha That is the largest temple in Sukhothai Historical Park. It was built in the reign of Pho Khun Si Intharathit, the first king of Sukhothai Kingdom.
The abundance of the temple indicates how significant the temple was to Sukhothai people as a religious center.
This is one of the oldest and most significant temples in Thailand. established in the 13th century and was rebuilt in the beginning of the 14th century.
I wish I could have a time machine to go back to see how incredible and how abundant the temple was in the age of the Sukhothai Kingdom.
Wat Sa-Si âĒ āļ§āļąāļāļŠāļĢāļ°āļĻāļĢāļĩ
My favourite Buddha image in Sukhothai architecture style.
The main sanctuary located on the island in the middle of Traphang Trakuan Pond.
The Singhalese-style pagoda and the main hall contains stucco Buddha image.
Wat Si Sawai âĒ āļ§āļąāļāļĻāļĢāļĩāļŠāļ§āļēāļĒ
The tree pagodas that feature the Lopburi architectural style with an influence from Hindu belief.
The building was first build as a Hindu religious structure and was later turned into a Buddhism temple.
Every thing was amazing with the beautiful light of sunset.
The gate of this temple is so incredible and it’s the best place to shoot some good photos.
“If you have a plan to visit the central part and the north part of Thailand, you shouldn’t miss visiting Sukhothai”
